Happy Pitch Tycoon Barnaby, the ginger cat

Why a holiday park tycoon?

From Theme Park on the Amiga to a caravan park in Somerset.

I grew up playing Bullfrog’s Theme Park on the Amiga: managing queues, trying to unlock the next new ride and keeping the park clean. At the time, the graphics were amazing, and it even had a computer-animated intro! I always wanted to make my own version of this type of sim.

Happy Pitch Tycoon is that game, although it’s about a campsite rather than a theme park. I’ve always liked the idea of running a campsite, so why not bring the good old British holiday park into a virtual world? The mud, the drizzle, the static caravans, the chemical disposal point and the queue for the toilet… no, the shower block, at seven in the morning. There are dozens of games that let you build theme parks; this is my take on running your own campsite.

The story in the game

You've never been rich or lucky, but you've always wanted to build something of your own. A small inheritance arrives. Not enough to retire on, not enough to waste. You quit your job, buy a field in Somerset, and open a campsite. No buildings, no facilities, no guarantees. Just grass, weather, risk, and a ginger cat from next door who has opinions about all of it.

Who's making it

This is a one-person project, built by INLine‑Games.uk, trading as INLine Computers. Builds will go up here, and you’re welcome to test them. You can also visit the Discord to leave comments, report bugs and share ideas. Your feedback helps decide what gets built next.

Built in public, with AI tools

The game is made using AI tools throughout, and I’d rather say so up front:

The game design, the ideas behind the park systems, Barnaby’s direction and the decisions about what goes in are human-led. There’s a basic devlog covering some of the changes in each build and how the game was made.

Where it's heading

The browser demo is free while the game takes shape. If enough people enjoy it, the plan is a full release with more UK sites, events and proper campaigns. The quickest way to make that happen is to play the demo and tell me what you think. Enjoy, happy campers!
